Hey book bestie Reader,

I recently picked up Rings of Fate by Melissa De La Cruz, a fantasy romance about a barmaid who enters a fake engagement with a cursed prince carrying dangerous magical rings.

The story started strong and had a really intriguing setup, but once the journey portion of the book began, the pacing slowed down quite a bit and the magic system left me wanting more. I ended up DNF’ing at 43%.
